You can use the search facility to move to a
place or a street name on the map view. See the help topic
'Search Tips' for further information on how to carry out a
search.
You may also use the map controls to more
precisely move to a specific place on the map view.
To pan around the map use the mouse to click
on one of eight directional arrows located around the outside
of the map.
To zoom into the current map
view, ensure that 'Zoom in at mouse' is selected in the drop
down list underneath the map view and click on the map where you
wish to zoom in. Note that 'Zoom in at mouse' will be selected by
default.
To zoom out of the map, ensure
that 'Zoom out at mouse' is selected in the drop down list
underneath the map view and click on the map where you wish to zoom
out.
To centre the map at a particular location,
ensure that 'Centre at mouse' is selected in the drop down list
underneath the map view and click on the map where you wish to
centre.
If the current view is 'Planned and
Completed Routes' you may compare networks where the map is clicked
by ensuring that 'Compare networks at mouse' is selected in the drop
down list underneath the map view.
Note that you will not be able to zoom to
street level on the planned and completed routes page. On this page
the zoom level is restricted.
If the current view is 'Compare Networks'
then both map views will move at the same time in exactly the same
way when the map controls are used.
You may also zoom in or out of the current map view by using the
zoom slider control situated under the map on the right hand side.
Click towards the right of the slider to zoom in and click towards
the left of the slider to zoom out. Click the buttons on the outside
of the zoom slider to zoom in or out by a set amount.
